CREP™ Standards & Credential Framework  ·  Effective: 1 August 2026

⚠️ Important — Please Read Before Enrolling

The CREP™ — Certified Real Estate Professional — is a private professional certification issued by RERACertified Academy. It is not a government qualification, UGC-recognized degree, NSDC certification, or statutory RERA agent registration. It does not grant you RERA registration, replace the requirement to register with your state RERA authority, or constitute a legal licence to practice real estate. It is a rigorous professional knowledge credential — valuable, but distinct from government-issued authorizations.

1. What CREP™ Is — and Is Not

✅ CREP™ IS:
  • A private professional certification in real estate, RERA 2016, and state compliance
  • Issued by RERACertified Academy — a private educational platform
  • Evidence of demonstrated RERA knowledge through rigorous examination
  • A publicly verifiable credential with a unique ID and QR code
  • A professional development designation for the real estate industry
  • Recognised by employers and clients who choose to value it
❌ CREP™ IS NOT:
  • A government qualification of any kind
  • A UGC-recognized degree or diploma
  • An NSDC or Skill India certification
  • A statutory RERA agent registration
  • A legal licence to practice real estate
  • A substitute for state RERA authority registration
  • Affiliated with or endorsed by any RERA authority

Your state RERA registration is a separate legal requirement under the RERA Act 2016, Section 9. You must complete that registration with your state RERA authority independently of your CREP™ enrollment.

2. The CREP™ Credential Framework

CREP™ — Certified Real Estate Professional — is the flagship credential of RERACertified Academy. It is structured as follows:

6. Public Certificate Verification

All issued CREP™ certificates are publicly verifiable at reracertified.in/verify. Anyone — an employer, developer, client, or RERA authority — can enter a Credential ID or scan a QR code to verify:

  • Whether the certificate is genuine and issued by RERACertified Academy
  • The holder's name, state track, grade, and issue date
  • Whether the certificate is currently Active or has been Revoked

We do not display the holder's contact information (email, phone) on the public verification page.

7. Academic Integrity

The integrity of the CREP™ credential depends on all examinations being completed honestly and independently. The following are prohibited:

  • Using external notes, books, or websites during an exam (open-book exams will be specifically marked as such where permitted)
  • Sharing exam questions, answers, or content with others
  • Allowing another person to take your exam or complete your lessons
  • Using AI tools, screenshot capture, or screen sharing during examinations
  • Attempting to access exam answers through technical means

Consequences of violation: Any confirmed breach of academic integrity results in immediate permanent disqualification, no refund, revocation of any issued certificate, and a permanent bar from future enrollments at RERACertified Academy.

8. Certificate Revocation

A CREP™ certificate may be revoked by RERACertified Academy in the following circumstances:

  • Confirmed academic dishonesty or cheating in any examination
  • Proven misrepresentation of the CREP™ credential as a government or statutory certification
  • Fraud in the enrollment process (false identity or impersonation)
  • Court order or legal requirement

Revoked certificates are marked as "Revoked" on the public verification portal. The credential holder is notified by email with the reason for revocation and may appeal within 14 days by writing to academy@reracertified.in.

9. Content Currency & Version Control

RERA regulations and state rules change frequently. RERACertified maintains a "Living Content" approach:

  • Every lesson displays its last verified date and content version number
  • We review and update content when RERA Act provisions, MoHUA notifications, or state RERA authority rules change
  • Enrolled students receive updated content at no additional charge
  • We cannot guarantee that content reflects regulatory changes within 24 hours of their announcement — always verify current requirements with your state RERA authority for compliance decisions

10. Content Sources

CREP™ curriculum is built from authoritative official sources including:

  • The Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016 — Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs
  • MoHUA Model Rules and Circulars
  • Official state RERA authority portals and published rules (HRERA, MahaRERA, RERA Punjab, UP-RERA, etc.)
  • Supreme Court and High Court judgments on RERA matters
  • NCDRC and state consumer forum orders on real estate disputes

We do not source content from private interpretation blogs, social media, or unverified third-party sources. Every lesson cites its primary source and last verified date.

11. Using the CREP™ Designation

Upon earning the CREP™ credential, you may:

  • Use the designation "CREP™ — Certified Real Estate Professional" after your name in professional contexts
  • Display your credential ID on business cards, LinkedIn, marketing materials, and professional profiles
  • Direct employers, clients, or developers to reracertified.in/verify to verify your credential
  • State that you are "CREP™ certified by RERACertified Academy"

You may NOT:

  • Represent CREP™ as a government qualification, statutory certification, or legal licence
  • Claim CREP™ is equivalent to or substitutes for state RERA agent registration
  • Use the CREP™ or RERACertified logo without written permission from RERACertified Academy
  • Continue using the CREP™ designation after certificate revocation

12. Credential Renewal

The current CREP™ certification is issued without an expiry date. We may introduce a renewal or continuing education requirement in future as the platform and credential mature. Any such requirement will be announced with at least 12 months' notice and will not apply retroactively to existing certificate holders without a corresponding benefit (e.g., updated content access).
